Description
Structural design and analysis of heavy industrial steel and
reinforced concrete structures. Duties
include development of finite element models for the analysis of structures,
seismic analysis of structures, engineering studies, designs for steel and
concrete structures in accordance with applicable codes and standards, and
project procedures. This position
requires extensive knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE and IBC codes and
standards. Familiarity with
DOE-STD-1020, NRC Standard Review Plans, and Regulatory Guides for nuclear
facilities is highly desirable.
Experience with seismic analysis and design of commercial or industrial
structures using modal analysis techniques and including soil-structure
interaction effects in the determination of seismic design forces and
displacements is required.

Experience/Requirements
B.S.
Civil Engineering plus 25 years in structural design. Must be a Registered
Professional Engineer with extensive experience in the structural
analysis and design of heavy industrial buildings using structural steel and
reinforced concrete. Experience in the
use of structural analysis programs, including Frameworks and SAP2000, in a
Microstation environment is preferred.
Experienced in the preparation of technical specifications and drawings. Demonstrated skill in leadership of technical
teams. Must have good verbal and written
communications skills, and be able to use Office Automation Tools effectively.

Looking for full time for a minimum of 6 months.
Description
This position is
for an opening in Radiological Engineering.
Duties shall consist of performing worker dose assessments, performing
facility and system design ALARA evaluations, developing facility radiation and
contamination zone layouts, and developing facility radiation monitoring system
basis and specification. Represent
Radiological Engineering on project design team(s) to incorporate ALARA and
radiation protection principles in ongoing development of facility and system
designs. In addition, develop technical
products in accordance with the project engineering and QA procedures. Must be self-starter and be able to work with
minimum supervision.

BS in Health Physics or Nuclear Engineering
or related field or a BA in science with equivalent Radiological Engineering
experience. Minimum of 13 years to 15
years relevant experience in radiological engineering preferably including NRC
operating environment. Experience credit
given for advanced degrees. Certified
Health Physicist preferred. Demonstrated
ability in practical applications of radiation safety/radiological
engineering. Recent relevant experience
in performing ALARA evaluations preferred.
Good working knowledge of NRC regulations related to radiological safety
and ALARA.

Contract position – ASAP for a period of 6-9 months
Description
The
candidate for this position must be able to:
1. Perform
radiation shielding analyses, radiation streaming analyses, radiological
evaluations, develop source term calculations, and/or waste characterization,
ALARA design reviews, worker dose assessments and develop radiological monitor
system specifications.
2. Plan,
develop, check and review technical products as assigned in accordance with the
project QA procedures.
3. Provide pertinent
technical inputs for updates to the Safety Analysis Report to support the License
Application.
4. Interact
with Internal and external organizations including the client and regulators to
gather and give technical information.
5. Support development and
review of project design criteria, system description documents, facility
description documents, information exchange drawings, etc. in the nuclear
discipline areas.

Experience/Requirements
The candidate for this position must have a:
1. BS
or MS degree in Nuclear Engineering
2.
Design and/or operations
experience preferably in NRC regulated or DOE nuclear organization.
3.
Must have 7+ years of demonstrated
skills in practical applications of shielding and/or source term codes including MCNP and/or SCALE
respectively.
4.
Prefer recent experience in
nuclear analyses for spent fuel storage or transportation systems, or radwaste
management or disposal system.
5.
Current knowledge of commercial
nuclear industry and its regulatory standards requirements.
6.
Able to work independently with
minimum supervision.
7.
Able to learn to use Microsoft
Office and Lotus Notes effectively.
8. Good
oral and written communication skills.

Position

Full-time, contract: 10 month
assignment
Description
We
are looking for civil/structural engineers with at least 9 years of experience
in structural analysis with a degree in Mechanical Engineering (7 years with a
Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or 4 years with a PhD in Mechanical
Engineering.) This position will run
about 10 months. An appreciable portion
of this experience should include the use of commercially available finite element
analysis tools (preferably ANSYS and LS-DYNA) for the evaluation of both static
and dynamic structural response of large metallic components. The candidate must have a good understanding
of the theoretical aspects of material structural performance.

Additional
experience in heat transfer and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), including
the use of commercially available analysis tools (preferably ANSYS for
radiative/conductive heat transfer and FLUENT for CFD and multi-mode heat
transfer) is advantageous and will be used to differentiate candidates. Experience with Pro-Engineer is also an
advantage.
